Common Questions

They are MDs or DOs who attend medical school and are physicians. It is a medical doctor specializing in mental health, trained to diagnose, treat, and manage various mental illnesses, emotional challenges, and behavioral disorders using a combination of therapy, medication, and holistic approaches.

Psychologists are professionals with bachelor’s and master’s degrees and are eligible for Ph.D. but don’t attend medical school. A psychologist is an expert in studying human behavior and cognitive processes, providing therapy and interventions to help individuals address emotional issues and improve mental resilience.

Mid-Levels are Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who work under the supervision of a Physician. It is a skilled healthcare practitioner authorized to conduct medical assessments, prescribe medications, and contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed physicians.

Psychiatrists are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, such as Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Substance Abuse, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

The best outcome is when we combine medicine and therapy together. You can keep your separate therapist, but we can help you figure out the medication if needed and what therapy technique would be helpful. Treatment may include only medication if you are only interested in that and can include additional therapies like psychotherapy (talk therapy), medication management, lifestyle modifications, and support groups. We offer tailored treatment plans to each patient’s individual goals.

Psychiatrists are trained to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse disorders, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

If a person experiences persistent emotional/ behavioral symptoms that disturb daily functioning, it is advisable to seek professional help. Common signs that indicate a need to see a psychiatrist include feelings of sadness/ hopelessness, excessive worry/ fear, changes in sleep or appetite, difficulty concentrating, mood swings, thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or the inability to cope with stress.

Treatment options in psychiatry are dependent upon the specific condition and individual needs of the patient. They may include psychotherapy (talk therapy), medication management, lifestyle modifications, support groups, hospitalization (in severe cases), and other interventions tailored to the individual.

The duration of psychiatric treatment varies depending on different factors, such as the type and severity of the condition. Some conditions can require short-term treatment, while others may necessitate long-term or ongoing care. Psychiatrists work with their patients to determine the most appropriate treatment duration.

Rules For Efficient Appointment

  • We charge $75 in case you cancel/change your appointment within 24 hours.
  • New patients are requested not to expect control medication on the first appointment unless all the paperwork is done.
  • We follow Florida state rule, which includes one face-to-face session with the doctor in 12 months and 2 to 4 urine toxicology screens done in 12 months. We will be taking tests for evidence, and you will be required to sign the controlled medication contract.
  • Our Psychiatrist is always here to help, but if you require additional legal requirements or disability paperwork, there are additional charges for them. You will have to speak to the doctor (which does not mean an agreement since we need approval from the administration), so feel free to discuss.
  • In case you need an out-of-office hours medicine refill, you won’t be provided with stimulants. Non-controlled medicines will be provided with an additional $75 charge.
  • If you have not been seen in the last 6 to 9 months, you will not be considered an active patient, and your chart will be closed.
  • Prompt completion of paperwork may get you an appointment in less than one to two weeks.
  • If you need forensic services, please get your lawyer to call us for further action.

Our Policy

Medicare Insurance

Medicare Insurance

Experience seamless billing with our new system, designed to accommodate even non-participating insurance plans. You can now pay us upfront, and we’ll handle the claim process for you. No need to fret over insurance we don’t accept – we’ll send claims as a non-participating provider, allowing you to receive direct reimbursement. Your peace of mind is our priority.

We are only taking Medicare straight not Aetna Medicare, or some other Medicare of some other company, we will not be billing the secondary insurance, and that would be patient’s responsibility. Since Medicare automatically sends it to the secondary insurance, we are not involved with that billing, so that could potentially help if you gave that information to us in our system.

Fast-Track Paperwork

Efficiency is key. By promptly completing paperwork and form submissions, you open the door to potentially being scheduled for an appointment within 7 to 10 working days. Your swift action brings you closer to the care you need.

If you do the paperwork as quickly as possible, and fill out the forms, you could be potentially seen in 7 to 10 our working days, which are Tuesday through Thursday with two partial days, and help us promptly with the paperwork. The initial evaluation is 385 and follow up is 203 dollars. You may qualify for some discounts but it is after approval from the physician and then the administration only.

Fast-Track Paperwork

NOTE

If you face a life-threatening situation or believe you cannot ensure your safety or that of others nearby, call 911 and head to the closest emergency room.

NOTE

We do not do any type of paperwork unless agreed upon. Please consult our staff for associated charges.

We do not send medical records to external services. Should you require your medical records, you may retrieve them for a nominal fee and handle the sending process independently to your preferred destination. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

NOTE

We do not do any type of paperwork unless agreed-upon, which is very rare and there is a separate fee of $550-$750 which are not covered by the insurance due to increased liability and lack of testing in psychiatry to show what is the level of anxiety For the patient and the blood work.

We do not do any disability paperwork as it affects the therapeutic alliance. There are independent disability, a valuators at the Social Security office that you can get in touch with to get your disability forms filled.

Active Patient

For your continued care, if you haven’t had an appointment in the last 6 to 9 months, our staff will make an effort to reach out to you via phone and message. However, if we do not receive a response within 2 to 4 weeks, regrettably, you will not be considered an active patient. Your well-being remains our priority.

If you do not get seen in the last 9 months, you will be automatically discharged from the clinic and chart will be closed after your chart is closed. A message will be left on the active telephone number on file and if you do not respond in two weeks of that message, if needed 2 to 4 weeks of medication may be given, depending on the need and the medication. We are not legally responsible to give prescriptions after this.

There is an out of office charge for medication, refill after three months of your appointment time and the referral is off 30 days not 90 days, and during these 90 days you are expected to see the physician, so that progress and safety is recorded.
